Volunteering gives you an opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives in your community. Whether you already have skills and experience or you want to develop them, your time and desire to help is enough to help prevent suicide and enrich our community.
People willing to work with the children's groups, family and friends support groups. Professional supervision is provided.
Adults that want to help mentor youth who no longer have a father/mother/sister or brother.
Train to deliver intervention skills and educational programs to community groups, businesses, faith based organizations, college students, law enforcement agencies, and other community based organizations. (Requires 10 hours of training, offered quarterly.)
High school based suicide prevention program geared towards today's adolescent population and their specific issues. Trainings are provided to high school administration and staff, parents, and then the students. (Volunteers must be available Monday thru Thursdays during school hours.)
Clerical Support and/or Special Events
Answering phones & clerical support (previous experience preferred, but not required). Help with special events such as the Race against Suicide or Bike Ride to Save a Suicide.Committee/Board Membership
We are always looking for people willing to serve on committees.
